JGOS 2007, 14-15 May 2007

Jogja Goes Open Source, here I am in Jogjakarta writing this blog. Since this is a national event, many participants came from places very far from Jogja like Jambi, Manado, etc. For this two-day seminar I stayed at Indraloka Homestay, it surprised me that this place provides free Internet with hotspot, and cable TV in rooms, including HBO, all for a very fair price; although the breakfast was not enough for me.
In the seminar room, the organizer provides free Internet as well, with wireless. Overall the speakers of this seminar were talking about how to make government and educations, even companies to have confidence with Linux implementation.
Yesterday was the only day I could walk around the city and buy some gifts (bakpia patok, etc.) for home. Too bad it was raining in the afernoon I had to take a cab for some short distance which I would rather walk if it wasn’t raining. And in the evening I had dinner with AIT friends (Novi+Pie, Brian and Mira) at Mai Mai Barbeque Cafe. Very very hot and spicy dishes, delicious.
